Creating shared database on server
Hello,

I have looked through the FAQs and manuals available on the website here, but cannot see any way to set up the Scheduling Employees software to run in a server scenario where multiple supervisors can access and edit the same database from different computers. The closest solution I can see is the process of backing up the database from one computer to a USB drive and restoring the database form the USB drive onto another computer, but this is unfeasible for us. Is there any way to set up a server scenario as I described? Our client has an older version of the software, Scheduling Employees 2000 (v2.8, revision 3).

Re: Creating shared database on server
In case anyone else wanders in and has the same issue, here is how I fixed it.

We could not view our .mdb file which the schedule was located on, even with File Explorer options set to show hidden files, so we couldn't simply copy it to a network location for multiple users to access. However, after copy/pasting the whole Scheduling Employees folder from Program Files (x86) to the desktop, we could browse in that folder and see the sew.mdb file. We then copied that .mdb file to a server and confirmed that we could open it and make changes on different computers with Scheduling Employees installed by going to File > Network path, clicking the Browse for database file button, and browsing to the network location.
