Scheduling Employees for Windows revision 4.5.19 was released earlier today, June 2, 2017.  With the revision come a number of updates, including the ability to use the application without administrator rights.  The administrative rights issues dates back to the 1990s when the application was originally designed.   This was long before the User Account Control and various operating system security enhancements were made by Microsoft.

Accordingly, the application was designed unaware of these changes coming more than a decade later.  We have spent the last several months redesigning the application to remove the need to run in adminstrator mode.  In a software world where security is increasingly important, we are glad to provide a version of the SEW applciation where administrative rights are no longer necessary.

 

Two copy schedule issues are resolved in SEW 4.5.19.  One issue relates to an error when clicking No on the Copy Conflict warning message.  The second correction relates to the inability of the application to properly identify vacation time copy conflicts when copying a week's schedule.  Both of these issues are resolved in SEW 4.5.19.

 

For those who previously ran the trial version of the SEW application, revision 4.5.19 will grant you another 30 day trial period so you can test it again.  All users can now login to their account and download this update, and we encourage all of our customers to do so.
