• We have removed the need for the application to run in Administrator mode. This has been an issue for several of our clients and we are happy to be able to resolve this issue finally. The ESA application dates back to the 1990s and some of the original design decisions unintentionally conflicted with the newer Windows operating systems and their increased emphasis on security.
• We have resolved several issues related to the three year scheduling window designated in each department’s settings. Some users were having difficulty scheduling out beyond 2017 and these issues have been resolved. The three year scheduling window is again a design decision related to the original software from the 1990s. We hope to eventually remove this three year window entirely, however, since it is central to the current application design, it will take some planning and work to finally remove it. However, please look for this change in a later revision.

To run revision 2.3.1, you will need to completely uninstall version 2.3.0 first. We highly recommend that you make a backup of your database prior to uninstalling 2.3.0 using the Backup option on the File menu. The uninstallation of 2.3.0 should not remove the existing database, so this is just a precaution, but a necessary precaution.
