How do I start scheduling my employees?
 
Scheduling Employees 4.0 comes installed with an "Example Department," which can allow you to explore the application.  To start scheduling your employees,  you need to first set up a new Department, and enter Employees to that new Department:
  • Use the menu item "Departments," then select "Add new Department" and fill in the form.
  • After saving the Department information, select "Employees" to add new employees to the new department.
  • Now when you click on the "Schedule employees" button the Editor will appear, ready for you to start scheduling.
What is the difference between a Single and a Site License registration?
  • Single Registration- You may install one copy of Scheduling Employees 4.0 on to one registered location using the unique registration code from Guia International Corporation.  You may install one additional copy of Scheduling Employees 4.0 onto one internal computer system for ‘private use’ (i.e., a personal laptop for scheduling at home). 
  • Site License Registration- grants you permission to use Scheduling Employees 4.0 on a network on a single site (one physical location), with an unlimited number of end users. This type of license (using a distinctive Site License Registration code) allows you to copy and use the software on multiple computers at one site and is more expensive than purchasing a single copy but less expensive than purchasing a copy for each computer at the site.
My computer has crashed. How do I reinstall Scheduling Employees onto a new computer?
  • Go to our website, www.workschedules.com, and download the 30 Day Free Trial of Scheduling Employees 4.0.
  • To unlock the Free Trial, you will need to enter your registration codeTo access your registration code,  go to our website, www.workschedules.com, and sign in using you username and password.  If you have lost or forgotten your username, please contact us.  If you have lost or forgotten your password,  click on “Forgot Password?” link and follow the prompts to reset your password.  Go to My Account, then My Orders.  Your registration code should be listed alongside the record of your order. If you have trouble finding your code, please contact us.
How do I change the first day of the work week?
  • From the opening screen, select "Departments" then "Change Department settings".
  • Set the new first day of the week and save.
I run a 24 hour business and my cutoff is at 3am, can I get my totals and Editor hours to reflect that?
  • From the opening screen, select "Departments" then "Change Department settings".
  • From "Calculate Daily Statistics,"  Select 3:00 am from  the dropdown menu.  You may set the 24 hour clock to begin at any time between midnight and 8:00 am
I finished last week 's schedule. This week, the schedule is almost the same. How can I copy the entire week and just make changes?
  • In the Editor, go to the week you wish to copy (in this example, last week’s schedule).
  • From the menu at the top of the screen, select "Schedules" then "Save current week as…"
  • A pop up calendar will appear where you can select a week you wish to “save as.”
  • Go to the week you wish to copy to (In this example, this week’s schedule)
  • From the menu at the top of the screen, select “Schedules” then “Load week schedule.”
  • A pop up calendar will appear where you can select the week to copy from (In this example, last week) and the schedule will appear, ready to be edited
Can I copy just one day? I just finished the schedule for Tuesday.  Wednesday is almost the same, with some minor changes.
  • To copy Tuesday into Wednesday, select Wednesday in the Editor (*note* the day you wish to copy to, in this case Wednesday, must be blank
  • Click "Copy"  on the menu at the top of the screen and select "Tuesday".
  • Tuesday's schedule will copy to Wednesday
